i am a polar bear trapped in a zoo,
glass walls keep me from my dreams.
my mother abandoned me as a cub,
i'd been taken from my home long ago.
set me free so i may find my way back,
let me feel the cold of the north.
i long to experience snow under my feet,
instead i'm forever in this box.
we're dying out, us polar bears,
you melt our ice and destroy our lands.
soon you will find we will have vanished,
i could be the last, stuck in this glass prison.
please, i want to see my home once more,
before i have nothing to return to,
before i die in this concrete world,
before the last of my kind has gone extinct.

it's difficult to keep awake right now, but i thought i'd attempt a bit of a poem regardless. well, this is all i could come up with. hopefully someone out there will take a liking to it. if not, oh well. for being so sleepy, i think it's actually not half bad.

its only funny because i didnt think you would actually write about a polar bear XD
in all reality its quite sad but i love it i have the sudden urge to run through the snow and slap a zoo keeper
